THE DOW Jones fell 62.05, or 0.6 per cent, to end at 10,213.5, led by Hewlett-Packard, extending declines for a second day.
After setting records in August, the Dow has retreated to April levels amid concern the Federal Reserve could keep raising interest rates. Central bank policy-makers next meet on Tuesday. "It has a better tone to it than it has had in a while, but it is going to bounce around until after the Fed meeting," said one trader.
