THE NASDAQ market cruised to its ninth record finish in 10 days but blue chips slipped on the prospects that the Federal Reserve may raise interest rates when it meets next week.

The benchmark Dow Jones index ended down 2.44 points at 10,595.30, while the technology-laced Nasdaq jumped 41.25 points to 3,197.21, beating Wednesday's record.

The bond market was closed yesterday for the Veterans' Day Holiday.
