The Dow Jones Industrial Average fell 14.67 to 9286.48 in early afternoon trading, extending Tuesday's 73-point loss, after bursting higher on Monday to a new all-time high of 9374.27 that capped off a seven-week run that erased a 2,000 point plunge during the late summer.
