US STOCKS fell yesterday as shares of big-name technology companies pulled back from record highs, eroding investor confidence that traders said may have been weakened by a renewed focus on the impeachment hearings in Congress.
The Dow Jones closed down 0.47 per cent, at 9,027.98 after a volatile session in which the blue-chip gauge tumbled 124 points. The technology- heavy Nasdaq ended off 0.29 per cent, at 2,034.75.
