STOCKS added another 5.51 per cent to Friday's 4.49 per cent rise, supported by gains in Asia and on Wall Street. The blue-chip CAC-40 index closed up 170.4 at 3,263.32.
Bargain hunters helped to push computer software group Cap Gemini up 14.48 per cent, while banks Paribas and Societe Generale added between 8 and 9 per cent. But a profits warning wiped nearly 5 per cent off pharmaceuticals group Rhone-Poulenc. The luxury goods group LVMH, despite a sales fall, closed up 5.23 per cent.
