SINGAPORE'S KEY share index finished at a record, supported by Wall Street and propelled by rises in bank shares.
The Straits Times index rose 1.70 per cent, or 40.49 points, to end at 2,424.15.
Rises in DBS Group, OUB Bank, OCBC Bank and UOB Bank contributed to gains of almost 12 points in the index.
Analysts said that expectations of regional economies recovering further next year helped keep the rosy outlook intact.
