TOKYO'S NIKKEI 225 index finished flat as the market remained jittery about government plans to boost the economy. The index rose 16.29 points, or 0.10 per cent, to 16,230.52.
In light trading volume, the market picked up individual stocks with positive earnings prospects. But traders were concerned that Wall Street was entering a corrective phase as high-flying stocks came off the boil.
Toro Radiator was a leading riser, jumping 21 per cent to 285. But Yahoo Japan fell two million yen, or 6.9 per cent, to 27 million yen.
