JAPANESE SHARES finished a touch weaker, with a setback on Wall Street overnight clouding the short-term prospect of the Japanese stock market.
The Nikkei 225 ended down 43.42 points or 0.25 per cent at 17,282.28.
"We're a bit worried over US stocks, which look ready to make correction at any time," said one trader.
"But basically, today's loss in Tokyo was a natural reaction to yesterday's overrun."
