BRITISH AIRWAYS has completed the pounds 75m deal to buy CityFlyer Express, a Gatwick-based company which serves 15 routes to the Continent, the Channel Islands and around the country.
BA said the deal had received approval from Stephen Byers, the Secretary of State for Trade and Industry, following investigations from the Office of Fair Trading and the Competition Commission. CityFlyer will retain its operator's certificate and its own fleet.
