Bacardi, the family-controlled maker of the world's best-selling spirit, is warning brewers and distillers throughout the world not to invest in any of its properties in Cuba. These include offices, a distillery and three breweries, which the Bacardis claim were unlawfully confiscated after Fidel Castro came to power in 1959.
