It's official name is Marl Cottage, but this cottage in the Peak District National Park is known locally as Tufa Cottage, after the local Tufa stone it's made of. The Victorian two-bedroom house enjoys the seclusion of the wooded slopes of the Via Gellia Gorge. The gardens cover about an acre, with a stream on one boundary. The house is for sale through Fidler- Taylor for pounds 145,000. For details ring 01629 580228.
