SHEIKH Kamal Adham, a former head of Saudi intelligence who is a central figure in the Bank of Credit and Commerce International scandal, has agreed to stay out of the US banking industry permanently and has paid dollars 13m in civil penalties.
The dollars 13m payment will come out of dollars 105m in fines that Sheikh Adham agreed to pay in July when he pleaded guilty in New York to violating state banking laws.
