Black Friday - 5 online shopping tips

Those wishing to avoid the mayhem of Black Friday can still make the most of those amazing deals from the comfort of your own home.

A significant amount of preparation is still required though, so here are five tips to make the most of Black Friday online.

1. Get online early

Indeed the early bird catches the worm, so getting on before the 9am-11am rush will only help. There will also be deals all week before Black Friday and hourly deals on the day itself.

2. Make the most of mobile

60 per cent of orders are expected to be made from mobile devices this year. Feel free to shop on your morning commute then from 7am.

3. Check social media for offers

Some deals will be targeted specifically at social media followers or subscribers so keep your eyes peeled or even sign up to email alerts to get updates as and when they appear.

4. Predict the best deals

Many are already expecting huge deals on particular items, such as TVs, coffee machines, hair straighteners, watches and games consoles. Knowing this in advance can only help your cause.

5. Create an account the day before

Having all your details ready for all the sites you plan to order from will make the process much quicker and much smoother. Entering your payment details in advance will be a key timesaver.
