PRE-TAX PROFITS at Bryant rose from pounds 38.6m to pounds 53.3m in the year to May, the building construction group said yesterday.

Operating profits at the homes division rose to pounds 60.8m (pounds 42.1m) as turnover rose 5 per cent to pounds 503.7m, on the back of a 7.6 per cent rise in the average house selling price to pounds 124,800. The other division, construction, reported an operating profit of pounds 1.7m (pounds 2m).
