IT cannot be easy being Alan Sugar's public relations man at the moment, but life has become even more difficult for Nick Hewer since being told he can't use the phone and fax machine late at night at home.

Hewer lives in Dolphin Square, the London apartment block. Other residents include the Princess Royal and numerous MPs. During the Sugar-Venables row, journalists desperate for the latest development have been calling Hewer at home. Now he has received a letter from the centre's management, warning him about the noise of his phone and fax, and reminding him that conducting a business from the flat is a breach of his tenancy agreement.
