LATEST news. BR offers a better service than SNCF. Dear old BR will accept any motor on its Motorail services, but the French reject the many readers who own Rollers, Bentleys and Daimler Sovereigns. The French have decided that these models are simply too wide to travel by rail. This is a bit odd, since it is always assumed that BR cannot accept loads as wide as the French. But for once the French can't be accused of chauvinism: they've also decided the Renault Espace is too tall for their wagons.
