CITY currency traders, who have been attracting fierce criticism for their speculative deals, will be cheered by the latest newsletter of the Association of Private Client Investment Managers and Stockbrokers. Graham Shore, one of many people labelling themselves a former economic adviser to the Government, and now joint managing director of Shore Capital Group, writes that short-term traders 'perform an important role by providing market liquidity and helping to ensure that stock prices reflect available information efficiently'.
