C&W raises stake

CABLE & WIRELESS has secured a 97.69 per cent stake in the Japanese carrier International Digital Communications (IDC), the telecoms giant announced yesterday. C&W said it spent 55.2bn yen (pounds 287 million) to raise its stake in IDC from 17.69 per cent.
