BRITISH GAS remains in limbo until the Monopolies and Mergers Commission completes its deliberations, expected in about a year. By then, the company should be beginning to see profits from gas transportation. In the meantime, says Panmure Gordon, the group's 'earnings and dividend are safe, and as a utility it is grossly undervalued'.
