DAVID ABELL, chairman of Suter, has upstaged himself. It emerged on Friday that Suter has increased its holding in Sheffield engineer James Wilkes to 10.2 per cent. So Monday's results will be dominated by speculation that Suter will bid for Wilkes. If it does, it will have to put down a full cash alternative and pay more than Wilkes' current price of 63p.
