Outlook Another day, another accounting scandal. One day after the Accountancy and Actuarial Discipline Board said it would look into PricewaterhouseCoopers' role in auditing smaller accountant RSM Tenon, a black hole has been dug at taxi maker Manganese Bronze.

Why is it that number-crunching errors always involve the figures being overstated, not under? I can't wait to find out.

But this kind of inquiry typically takes so long that no one cares by the time the end result emerges.

Perhaps the AADB could surprise us this time.
