The jury is out on Angela Spindler’s business skills, but no one should doubt her talent for mangling the English language.
This appeared in the latest sales update from the embattled boss of N Brown: “During the quarter we continued to streamline our organisation and our processes to embed a digital-first model. This year will be more significantly H2 weighted as the planned benefits of the changes made flow through, and we become more aligned with typical retail phasing.”
Thank you Nick Bubb of The Daily Retailer for highlighting this horror. But its also given me a headache. I think Ms Spindler wanted to say that things will cheer up for the clothes retailer in the second half of the year. Given that, perhaps she could afford to hire someone who can be relied upon not to destroy the language of Shakespeare?
