Croda expands

CRODA INTERNATIONAL has bought the Westbrook business and certain assets of Illingworth Morris for pounds 10.6m cash, the chemicals group said. Bradford- based Westbrook makes and sells lanolin and its derivatives, primarily for the healthcare market. In the year to 31 March the business made operating profits of pounds 1m and had net assets of pounds 2m.
