Almost £650 million is expected to be spent online across the UK today as shoppers flood websites offering Cyber Monday deals.

The event, which started in the US, follows Black Friday and retailers are vying to lure in customers with the promise of bigger and better discounts.

So, where are the best bargains to be found?

Everything

Some of the biggest websites are offering discounts ranging up to 60 per cent on thousands of items. Many are being carried over from Black Friday and only last as long as the stock so today will be the last chance to snap up the best bargains.

Amazon is offering deals on hundreds of products, while eBay is advertising discounts up to 60 per cent.

Argos, John Lewis, Tesco, Debenhams and Asda are also getting in on the action and the websites also seem to be free of the crashes and queues that plagued Black Friday.

Fashion

Despite its name, Cyber Monday is known as a bigger day for fashion retailers than Black Friday and UK shops are quickly catching up to the US tradition.

Asos is offering 20 per cent off everything, while Boohoo and Very have large discounts on selected lines.

The websites of high street chains including New Look, Topshop, Topman, H&M, River Island, M&S, Debenhams and House of Fraser also have online offers.

Electronics and technology

On Friday, people literally fought over cut-price televisions but thankfully today, war can be waged from home.

Argos, Tesco, Curry’s and Maplin are continuing to offer their Black Friday deals until stocks run out, while online specialists Appliances Online, Appliances Direct have discounts.

Microsoft is among the technology manufacturers offering direct discounts on its products including the Surface and Xbox One.

Game, John Lewis and Amazon UK are also offering special Cyber Monday deals. See the best UK tech offers here.

Toys

Disney is offering 20 per cent off purchases over £50 on its official website, excluding Frozen merchandise, to the chagrin of many thrifty parents.

Toys R Us, Amazon, the Early Learning Centre, Argos, Tesco, Asda and eBay also have discounts on a range of toys and games.

Beauty

Boots, Superdrug, Amazon, the Perfume Shop, Ebay are among those with discounts until the end of today.
