GEC arms sales under fire
Shareholders attending GEC's annual meeting repeatedly questioned the board over the company's increasing involvement in the arms trade. Several shareholders called on the board to consider whether it was appropriate both "ethically and financially" for GEC to be expanding its involvement in the business of arms exports in a shrinking global market.
