THE POSSIBILITY of Britain's largest accounting firms abandoning the Institute of Chartered Accountants' training programme rose last night after the ICA's members voted against plans to update the syllabus by introducing "electives".
Peter Wyman, the chairman of the institute's education and training committee, said he was disappointed by a decision that threatened the future of the organisation.
