Innovation: Briefly: Mercury improves its core activities

Apple is collaborating with Mercury to make radio paging available on the Newton MessagePad, Apple's computerised personal organiser. This will allow users to receive detailed messages and use information held on the MessagePad to respond appropriately. For example, a paged date for a meeting could be checked against a diary held on the MessagePad. The computer can then be used to reply by fax.
