DENTAL scientists at the University of Liverpool are using teeth to investigate the levels of industrial pollution in Poland. Toxic heavy metals ingested in food and drink are permanently incorporated into developing teeth. In collaboration with scientists in Krakow, researchers will measure the amounts and so monitor the degree of exposure to environmental pollution.
