Researchers at IBM in Zurich say they have developed the world's most sensitive calorimeter, a heat measuring instrument. They say it can measure temperature changes in chemical reactions as slight as 1 100,000 of a degree. The device will be useful in chemical observation, detection, measurement and analysis applications, such as drug design and forensics.
