THE Paris Bourse has launched an insider dealing inquiry into the share price movements of Hachette, the French publisher. It is also investigating the quality of accounting and financial information published by Ciments Francais, the cement company.

The Bourse said the Ciments inquiry would focus on off-balance sheet items in the group's accounts.
