JAPAN warned yesterday it could strike back if the US imposed sanctions against what it claimed was discrimination against US firms in the Japanese construction market.
A foreign ministry spokesman said if Washington imposed such sanctions 'on unilateral judgement', Tokyo would have to 'consider taking appropriate measures, including the possibility of counter- retaliatory measures'.
