Kleinwort buys Warburg leasing business

Kleinwort Benson has acquired Warburg's leasing business for an undisclosed sum. The acquisition comprises the whole of the former SBC Warburg big ticket leasing portfolio and the ten-man team, led by Michael Hardwick. The combination with Kleinwort's existing business should result in a pounds 1bn leasing operation.
