A EUROPEAN Union antitrust panel recommended clearance of the merger between WorldCom Inc and MCI Communications Corp provided MCI sells its Internet business, an industry source said yesterday. The panel of experts from the 15 EU states also requested clarification about how MCI would transfer its Internet retail customers to a new owner, the source said.
