VIC HORWOOD, the former chief executive of Mirror Group Newspapers, has resigned from the board. Mr Horwood, who joined MGN 30 years ago, gave up his executive responsibilities two months ago. He is thought to have opposed the recent appointment of David Montgomery as chief executive.
