MPs want Irish steel aid blocked
A group of mainly Labour MPs will today challenge the Government to block aid for the Irish steel industry which most European Union member states have approved, arguing that it will cost hundreds of British jobs. Tim Eggar, minister for energy and industry, will appear this morning at the debate on the issue by European Standing Committee B.
