AN NBC inquiry into a news broadcast that used a rigged crash of a General Motors truck is nearly complete and will be made public soon.

A source at the US TV network said lawyers had completed a fact-finding report but had made no policy recommendations. The attorneys were hired by NBC to look into the General Motors story, which deeply embarrassed the television network and forced it to apologise.
