Digital editions of magazines on Apple iPads have brought in £5m of revenues for Future in less than a year, the magazine publisher revealed yesterday.

More than 45 million visitors a month are also logging on to Future's websites, up 50 per cent on a year ago. Future was named Digital Publisher of the Year at this week's PPA magazine awards.

Mark Wood, chief executive, said Future was making "progress towards a predominantly digital business", although revenues from digital still represent only a fifth of turnover.

The shares, up 0.75p at 11p, remain more than 50 per cent below the levels of 18 months ago, as print revenues have fallen.
