Floyd Mayweather and Warren Buffett: Billionaire investor joins 'Money Team' in Vegas
Buffett appeared to be having the time of his life at the re-match fight between Mayweather and Maidana in Las Vegas
Warren Buffett's astute stock picking may have earned him a fortune, but according to the billionaire investor, managing the world's most sought after portfolio is easier than throwing punches inside the ring.
Over the weekend, the Oracle of Omaha attended the boxing match between Marcos Maidana and Floyd 'Money' Mayweather in Las Vegas. And it seems the two struck up an unlikely friendship, exchanging compliments in a television interview.
When asked about how the "intensity" of boxing compares to "running all those billions", Buffett said he was "really excited" about the fight and praised Mayweather adding: "This guy has a tough job, I got an easy one".
Similarly, the boxer described Buffett as an inspiration and listed him as one of the businessmen, along with Microsoft founder Bill Gates and Dallas Mavericks-owner Mark Cuban, "he looked up to" growing up in a difficult neighborhood in Grand Rapids.
Mayweather also posted a series of photographs on Twitter and his "Money Team" website after Buffett paid him a visit at the Mayweather Boxing Club in Las Vegas. And it seems the billionaire investor may well be his lucky after the 37-year old emerged as the winner in the re-match against Maidana.
