Kate Bostock, the former head of clothing at Marks & Spencer, said yesterday she was in "awe" of Asos after the online fashion retailer hired her as its product supremo.
Asos said that she would bring a "wealth of experience" as the company confirmed that Robert Bready, its product director, was leaving after seven years on its board to "pursue fresh challenges".
Ms Bostock, who is to join the internet retailer in January as executive director of product and trading, said: "Asos is a phenomenon and I'm in awe of the story."
