Turning Japanese: Europe takes to Muji
Muji, the Japanese homewares and clothing chain with 12 UK stores, is to push on with its European expansion after a leap in profit last year.
It wants to open stores in its existing European countries from France to Sweden, as well as in "new markets", either directly or by franchise.
Muji Europe's pre-tax profits grew by 16 per cent to £3.86m over the year to 28 January, on sales up 4 per cent to £61.18m.
