Producer prices in the US were unchanged in July, the Labor
Department said. On a year-on-year basis, producer prices were up 2.6 per cent. The core rate, which excludes food and energy prices, was up 1.5 per cent year-on-year. For the first seven months of 1996 producer prices were up 1.9 per cent compared with a 1.2 per cent rise a year earlier.
