Francis Barron, chief executive of First Choice, was in the City presenting his results yesterday, accompanied by Paula Hamilton, the model famous for Volkswagen ads, and Cathy Lloyd, a page three girl.

At the last minute, Miss Hamilton seemed reluctant to pose in her white bikini and could only be persuaded to take her clothes off when all the loitering men had left the room. All the men, that is, except Mr Barron.

"You do make me work hard for the money," complained the model.
