THE DEFENCE telecoms company, Racal Radio, has won a contract to supply the British Army and Royal Marines with a ground-based communications system at a cost of more than pounds 26m. Racal Radio will be the sole supplier of such systems to the Ministry of Defence. The radio systems, known as Project Odette, will be installed in Landrovers, armoured fighting vehicles and all-terrain vehicles.
