You could once spend hours poring over record sleeves, digesting them in detail. Now Philips has produced interactive compact discs which give information on bands visually while the tracks are playing. The discs, made in association with the record label Rhythm King, allow consumers to access biographical details, play computer games with band members as characters, and even remix the songs. A remote-control handset controls the sound and vision on the discs, which feature bands such as Ugly, Heaven West 11 and the Sultans of Ping FC.
