ROLLS-ROYCE is to place $50m more aircraft-engine parts orders in China over the next six years, the aerospace and defence group said yesterday. The contracts will be carried out by three companies under Aviation Industries of China (AVIC).

Turnover at Rolls-Royce's $30m joint venture with Xian XR Aerocomponents is set to exceed $22m by 2000 and it will be the single supplier for some components in Rolls-Royce engines.
