The Prime Minister, Tony Blair, announced yesterday that Britain would grant Russia a further pounds 500m of export credits in recognition of Britain's increased confidence in Russia's economic achievements. The credits, which will be available to British capital exporters trading with Russian public and private sectors, follow pounds 250m of credits announced in December 1996.
