SELECT APPOINTMENTS Holdings' French subsidiary, Selpro, has acquired Societe Alsacienne de Montage et d'Entretien (Same), a supplier of temporary logistics personnel. In its ninth acquisition since the beginning of the year, Select has agreed to pay up to Ffr7m (pounds 700,000), having made an initial payment in cash.

Same provides logistics staff to light industrial companies, such as hazardous chemicals drivers and warehouse personnel. Its audited sales for the year to 30 June 1998 were pounds 6m.
