THE detergents and toiletries company Robert McBridge, Solaro in Italy and Yplon in Belgium will be sold to a team headed by the Grand Metropolitan chairman Sir Allen Sheppard, and backed by a consortium led by Legal and General Group. Michael Handley of Tomkins has been recruited as chief executive.
