LBC, the London radio station bought from the wreckage of Crown Communications by a consortium including the former Mayor of Westminster, Lady Porter, will this week announce a sponsorship deal with Mercury Asset Management, writes Jason Nisse. The deal is worth more than pounds 100,000 a year to LBC, which was bought by a consortium led by Lady Porter's son, John Porter.
MAM, which is 75 per cent owned by the merchant bank SG Warburg, is to sponsor the financial summaries broadcast during the Angela Rippon Drive Time show, which is on LBC's FM frequency between 4am and 7am on weekdays.
