Supermarkets and high street shops like Debenhams had a tough time over Christmas but it seems more fashion focused retailers managed a little bit better.

Burberry and Superdry both reported strong festive sales today. Burberry said its Christmas campaign, fronted by Romeo Beckham, helped sales rise in the final three months of the year.

Meanwhile the onset of cold weather after Christmas helped Superdry sales jump, as punters snapped up more coats and jumpers.
